To help you manage your appointments, Skinsure may send reminders and important information by SMS, email or telephone.
These communications may include:
appointment confirmations
appointment reminders
requests to reschedule appointments
follow-up care instructions
pathology or referral notifications (where appropriate)
practice announcements.
Electronic communications are provided as a convenience but cannot always be guaranteed to be secure. Please ensure your contact details remain current. You may opt out of appointment reminders at any time by contacting the clinic, although this may increase the risk of missed appointments. We do not send marketing communications without your consent.
Telehealth Policy
Telehealth Consultations
Where appropriate, Skinsure may offer telehealth consultations. Telehealth appointments are suitable for certain follow-up consultations, treatment discussions or initial assessments where a physical examination is not immediately required. Please note that many skin conditions require direct examination and, where necessary, dermoscopic assessment. A telehealth consultation may not replace an in-person skin examination.
During your consultation you should:
participate from a private location
ensure you have a reliable internet connection
provide accurate information regarding your condition
upload clear photographs if requested.
Your telehealth consultation forms part of your confidential medical record.
Clinical Photography Policy
As part of your skin cancer assessment or ongoing monitoring, we may recommend taking clinical photographs of skin lesions.
Clinical photographs assist with:
monitoring changes over time
documenting treatment
supporting specialist referrals
maintaining accurate medical records.
Photographs are stored securely within your confidential medical record. Clinical photographs are only taken with your consent. Photographs will not be used for education, research, marketing or publication without your separate written consent. You may decline clinical photography at any time; however, this may limit our ability to monitor changes accurately.
